Director of IT Services

The Director of IT Services is responsible for the planning, organizing, staffing, controlling and evaluating the CRS information technology systems. The Director of IT Services reports to the Chief Development Officer and, as such, plays a role in strategic planning, implementation and support of the day to day operation for increased effective use of technologies to support the professional food manufacturing business of Copper River Seafoods, Inc.

 

The Director of IT Services works collaboratively with all departments to create a coordinated and well communicated system of integrated software/hardware solutions to support increasingly greater efficiencies and responsiveness to compliance requirements.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Asset Management

  • Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
  • Manages the purchase of all software, hardware, and other IT supplies at the regional level.
  • Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
  • S. Team Leader of the Asset Management Flow Committee integrating ERP systems to include inventory, sales, accounting, logistics and production systems.

 

Networking

  • Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting CRS hardware infrastructure systems.
  • Implements and maintains network security.
  • Supervises other Technical support staff.

 

Telephony

  • Manages, maintains and develops upgrades to the company’s telephone system, as required.
  • Oversees all telephone changes.
  • Identifies optional software or services that support greater efficiencies to company operations.
  • Manages inventory and operations of mobile phone systems.

 

Training & Maintenance

  • Oversees the maintenance of all CRS computers and related software.
  • Provide basic operational training of hardware/company software.
  • Maintains the Web environment and the web tools related to CRS.
  • Optimizes all IT assets through training and asset reviews.
  • Negotiates all IT purchase agreements.

 

Internal Systems

  • Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.

 

Help Desk Administration

  • Oversees all help desk activities at the regional level.
  • Responds to escalated help desk issues.
  • Oversees the administration and maintenance of tracking software and company IT assets.
  • Interacts with internal clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Preferred Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CIS and/or related field.

10+ years professional experience in information systems – telephone/computer systems (pc + server)

5+ years experience managing staff and systems.

5+ years experience assessing/implanting systems that create operational efficiency

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

Proficient at Excel, Word and PC office environment

Ability to prepare and review annual budgets

Strong written and verbal skills for report writing and professional business communications

Ability to prioritize projects/programs of greatest need

Strong organizational skills to multi-task business functions

 

OTHER:  

Position is based in Anchorage.   Requires travel to CRS locations in Naknek, Kotzebue , Kenai, Cordova, Togiak and Washington State.   Position open until filled.
