OFFICE ASSISTANT
POSITION PURPOSE
To perform various administrative/HR duties. This is a seasonal position; with a potential working schedule of Sunday-Saturday,12 hrs/day.
Position Summary Provides administrative support to the Human Resource and Payroll Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs accurate data entry.
• Answers/responds to inquiries on phone, in person and via email.
• Performs customer service functions by answering employee request and questions.
• Updates various HR spreadsheets with employee changes and processes paperwork
• Prepares new employee files.
• Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files
• Assists recruitment lead with coordination and completion of new hire paperwork for as-needed workforce, verifying I-9 identification etc...
• Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• One to two years general business experience preferred. Human Resource experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Processing, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to plan and organize work and to prepare professional correspondence ensuring proper use of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality requirements associated with personnel files and employee information.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, officers, organizations, and the public.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• General knowledge of various employment laws and practices desired.
•Strong organizational skills to multi-task business functions.
