QUALITY CONTROL (QC) LEAD

Copper River Seafoods, Inc.

POSITION PURPOSE

The QC Lead oversees inspection and testing of materials and products to ensure adherence to established standards. The QC Lead  performs inspections, checks, and tests for quality control for the manufacture of seafood products. Duties include performing QC assays, writing and establishing specifications, assisting in the validation of QC assays, and writing Standard Operating Procedures. The QC Lead is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. They rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The QC Lead is considered a working manager. They lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.  The QC Lead reports to the Plant Manager

QC Lead KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • §  Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • §  Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation. 
  • §  Responsible for biological and chemical evaluation of final product, intermediate products, raw materials, and production facilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and/or 7-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • §  Proficient at Excel, Word and PC office environment.
  • §  Strong and accurate written and verbal skills for written and verbal communications.
  • §  Ability to prioritize projects/programs of greatest need.
  • §  **Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.
